Check the Hard Drive

Sometimes we fail to monitor the memory status of our computer. This can make the computer to run too slow. Make sure to remove the unnecessary programs and files that are located in your hard drive. This can free the memory of your computer and can definitely contribute to a much better good performance of your internet connection.

Clear Cookies, Cache and Any Temporary Internet Files

For the benefit of those not aware of, you can do this by going to your internet tools and click on the internet option then look under general tap the tab delete to delete your browsing history or in some browser like Chrome, you can just go to the history and click on the clear history. Cookies are what we get every time we browse websites on the internet. Most of the sites we visit are installing tracking cookies to our computer, a device that can be used to record our IP or Internet Protocol address, our exact location, type of browser that we are using. This can slow down our internet connection. Thus other people prefer to clear their history upon exit for a safer browsing and efficient performance of their computer too. You can actually set this by default in your computer by checking the box under general settings.

Perform Disk Clean Up

Go to My Computer and right click the drive c. Then select the properties and there you will see the memory usage of your computer. Click on the disk clean up button to proceed. When you do that you will be asked which files you want to delete whether all files in the computer or your own files only. Then the system will calculate how much space you can free and this will take a few minutes to complete as the system is scanning the files. Normally what you can only delete are the temporary files, log files, recycle bin, downloaded files, and offline web pages that you saved. You have to be sure which files to delete if you don’t want to create another problem to fix later on. Do your search for the terms that you are not so familiar.

Consider Adding RAM and External Hard Drive

RAM is another memory in your computer that can speed up the performance of your internet speed. If you will purchase a RAM make sure it is compatible with your motherboard. You can also buy an external hard drive to save your old files there or those files you don’t normally use to free some space in your computer.
